Food and Singapore.

To design something that people can relate to in a given culture. I want to design for singaporeans, hence The research on singapore food and history.

New insights from the web article listed below:

Singapore's fusion cuisine is comparable to its present cultural pattern.

Singapore has been a trading port since 14th century, till now i guess it still is. Needless to say food resources are traded frequently, resulting in a myriad of different cuisines present here. Interesting fact is that singapore relies heavily on imported food rather than local produce (which is often limited to lack of farming lands).

"...and Indian rojak is really an alien dish to anyone from India."
